The Pilsen Idol is the latest addition to the Idol family and is made in
the Washburn USA factory. The guitar features the popular Idol shape
with a thicker body for those who want a guitar with more bottom end.
The top is modified from the original idol to a traditional carve.The
Pilsen Idol features a mahogany body with carved top, mahogany neck,
rosewood fingerboard, Seymour Duncan Custom Custom pickups, Tone Pros
bridge, Grover 18:1 tuners, 22 jumbo frets, 24 3/4" neck scale and the
Buzz Feiten tuning system.
We chose to name the guitar after a Chicago neighbourhood that best
describes the values and roots of Washburn. Pilsen is a historic
community of hard-working Chicagoans. Located just south of the historic
blues Mecca of Maxwell Street, the neighbourhood has recently seen an
influx of emerging fine artists. It's the perfect combination to
describe Washburn's personality.
